Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - January 2027?
I’m hearing this is a possibility in early 2027.
Really wanted it to happen when it was supposed to.
Seemed more competitive.
I think Parker should have a fight having not fought since September 2025.
And not go straight into Dubois.

Dubois hammers Parker at this stage of their careers.

Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - Who wins 2027?
Dubois should win but Parker's not a quitter and can take a punch. I wouldn't count on a Dubois win, especially if Parker is still in enhanced mode
Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - Who wins 2027?
Daniel Dubois wins by TKO between rounds 7–9.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - Who wins 2027?
Possibly at any stage.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - Who wins 2027?
Parker would make it interesting but would imagine a late stoppage by Dubios. Something along the lines of Parker v Joyce

I’d like to see them give Parker a gimmie on the aj vs fury card first… but that’s probably too close in time… not a tough fight like a Carlos negron… then if he looks in any shape at all I’m keen for Parker vs ddd.

I'd have fancied Parker on points if he'd come in light during covid. I'd expect the current version to come in heavy for the KO and suffer exhaustion before he found it.
The bulk seemed to help initially until he came unstuck against Joyce, but he's kept with it.

Daniel Dubois vs Joseph Parker is being explored for January 30th in England, sources have told The Ring. The WBO heavyweight title fight could be staged in London or Manchester.
The pair of heavyweights were originally slated to fight in February 2025 before Dubois backed out during fight week due to illness.

I think this goes to a decision that should be competitive but Dubois wins shockingly wide on 2 cards.

Should Parker be getting a title shot? Inactive and stopped in his last fight.. If this happens next it will be close to 2 years since his last win.
Sets up Daniel nicely for a summer unification fight I guess.

Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - January 2027?
So Parker could go right into a world title fight after getting stopped and banned. Great sport. Or great excuse, his soc coach took the blame when it's Parker who holds connections to organized crime and drug traffickers.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - January 2027?
I think the problem is that Parker is one of the best and most proven heavyweights at the moment. Many others won't step up, others are just as inactive, some are past it. It's a bit of a shit show.
If you take a look at who's available and coming off a win:
Okolie (Recent drug cheat)
Ajagba
Riakporhe
Jalolov
Suslenkov
Hunter
Yoka (Former drug cheat)
Miller (Former drug cheat)
Huni
Most of these guys have been inactive or have recently lost or drawn as well. Are any of them really any more deserving than Parker? I don't like the idea of someone getting a title shot off the back of a loss but these guys all need to step up and try and get a run of wins like Parker did over a former champ in Wilder, a win against a contender where he was the underdog in Zhang and then a win over a contender in Bakole. The choice of respectable defences is not very long at all at the moment and I feel like almost every single one can be criticised.
Dubois should really be targeting Gassiev. That's a solid unification that makes potential fights with Hrgovic or Kabayel even bigger.

Daniel Dubois, Joseph Parker in talks for January fight
Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker are in talks for a heavyweight title bout in January, sources have told ESPN.
Ring Magazine first reported that the pair could meet in the New Year with Jan. 30 a potential date.
Nothing has been agreed or confirmed, but London and Manchester are being explored as potential locations.
Dubois (24-3, 23 KOs) is keen to stay active following his Round 2 demolition of Fabio Wardley in October when he retained his WBO belt.
Parker (36-4, 24 KOs) has been out of action since he lost to Wardley last October. The former WBO champion failed a drugs test after the fight, returning a positive result for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.
He was cleared to fight in August with UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) confirming he had served a three-month ban.
UKAD said Parker's team provided evidence that the adverse finding was a result of contamination due to "exposure to cocaine used by the nutritionist he had employed in preparation for the bout."
The New Zealander now potentially has the chance to become a two-time heavyweight champion on his return but would come up against arguably the best heavyweight on the planet outside of Oleksandr Usyk.
With his two victories over Wardley this year, Dubois has established himself as the dominant fighter in the division with Usyk's next moves unknown.
After the rematch victory over Wardley, Dubois told promoter allegedly he wanted "big fights and big money."
While waiting for unification bouts against fellow champions Agit Kabayel or Filip Hrgovic, who is set to face mandatory challenger Frank Sanchez next, Parker would present a decent challenge for Dubois.
Parker and his team are reportedly weighing up the offer but are wary of going in against a champion of Dubois' caliber after over a year out of the ring, according to The New Zealand Herald.
Dubois and Parker were originally set to meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in February 2025 before Dubois fell ill, forcing him to withdraw from the fight.
Parker still fought on the card and beat Martin Bakole with a Round 2 knockout.

Parker should get a world title just for his absolute top shelf excuse for Cocain in his system....
Regardless I have zero problems with a slap on the wrist for coke, it's not performance enhancing...

Parker on points.
Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - Who wins 2027?
Yep. If he can get through the early rounds to break Dubois heart by not folding and hitting him back .. Dubois may decide to sit it out againgolden_labrador wrote: ↑28 Oct 2026, 18:27 Dubois should win but Parker's not a quitter and can take a punch. Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - January 2027?
Wouldn’t be fancying Parker’s chances much for the win. But it’s always been a match up that should produce a value for money spectacle.

This thread is crazy.
Parker would get stopped earlier.
I wouldn’t be that confident tipping him to beat Wardley.

i think Dubois can be hypnotised to give up. Parker needs to ask Steve Collins for Paul McKenna's numberFrostieballs wrote: ↑30 Oct 2026, 04:58 This thread is crazy.

Re: Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker - January 2027?
Parker didn't get stopped early against Joshua, Wilder, Wardley, Zhang, Wilder, Bakole, Joyce and Whyte who are heavy hitting heavies, some hit much heavier than Dubois. He's never been stopped before the 11th round in fact. It took Dubois 11 rounds to stop Wardley who has no defence and it took him 5 to stop an old and Chinny Joshua who was on ice for 5 rounds. What makes you think Dubois stops him early?Frostieballs wrote: ↑30 Oct 2026, 04:58 This thread is crazy.
