That murphy feller is giving the nugget a right pounding, 7-1! He tonked Higgins last night too, wonder what the odds were on him coming into the tournament.
I've a feeling Hendry could do it this year, though he's 5-3 down at the moment.
Glad fat-boy Lee got beat, he looks like pigsy from Monkee.

Absolutely, that Davis made it to the quarter-finals at his age is astonishing!Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Well, I suppose multiple world champions who took the whole sport up several notches are allowed to play like a bum occasionally in the twilight of their careers.Ding_Ding wrote:Davis is playing like a bum

Agree with all of that. Apart from one tiny detail, David.DavidPayne wrote:Murphy will collapse soon, he's too aggressive and hits the ball too hard.
He'll run aground before the final. But he is entertaining, reminds me a little of Joe Johnson back in 1986.
I predicted a O'Sullivan Williams final and I think Wlliams does him.
Would that tiny detail be that Mark WIlliams went out in the 2nd round?states wrote:Agree with all of that. Apart from one tiny detail, David.DavidPayne wrote:Murphy will collapse soon, he's too aggressive and hits the ball too hard.

Too true, but that was the worst he has played in the tournament, missing shots he normally puts away with ease and making it all too easy for Murphy. At least he can come back next year.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Well, I suppose multiple world champions who took the whole sport up several notches are allowed to play like a bum occasionally in the twilight of their careers.Ding_Ding wrote:Davis is playing like a bum

I used to knock about a bit with Ebdon, I can claim I've done him at pool although on a snooker table I've just collected balls from pockets for him.
O'Sullivan is such an immature little twat, always courting controversy, a wonderful player when in full flight but a bit of a w@nker. Now he's going to quit for a year.... Yeah right....

We should have a game of snooker sometime.Goz wrote:I used to knock about a bit with Ebdon, I can claim I've done him at pool although on a snooker table I've just collected balls from pockets for him.

Ebdon figured out how to get to Ronnie and it worked pretty well. Can't watch Ebdon playing for too long as I fall asleep. O'Sullivan is always making out how hard it is for him and how he struggles with this and that. Does he expect people to feel sorry for him? With all his wealth and talent he still can't stop moaning.
Give me a break.
Give me a break.
Oh come on! to call Ebdon a cheat is outrageous! everything he did was part of the game and the rules! you are allowed to slow the pace down a little if you want, players like Thorburn, Griffiths, Davis used to make a career out of it. Peter should be applauded for the guts and strength he showed out there, he won because he was the strongest mentally.
The criticism Ebdon got from Parrot and Docherty was a disgrace I think... Parrots tweating that he wouldn't have stood for Ebdons tactics was rather funny as John aint good enougth to even get into the tourneyment these days!.
