I have probably the most accurate records kept for filipino gab ranked fighters. If anybody would like my gab November 2004 rankings w/the fighters records. I would be obliged to spread the wealth of knowledge. Unfortunately, it has taken me 5 yrs of research to compile this data because the sport of boxing and global communication in asia and the GAB (Boxing Games and Amusement Board of the Philippines) is in the dark ages. It is up to you and I to get the asian continent into the age of enlightenment, because the people in charge of the governing bodies in most of those countries only care about their wallets - not the hometown fighter. They don't update rankings, they put fighters who have 16 straight losses in their rankings ex.jerry pahayahay, they let anybody step into the ring with their best fighters causing numerous deaths, their fighters sometimes box in other countries using other boxer names, they have no idea what their boxers records are, and most of the boxers themselves don't even know what their records are anymore. In some countries, like the United States, we respect our fighters and the fans enough to be almost precise with data collection. I feel the responsibility is going to have to be ours to honor fighters abroad by working together globally in order to provide as accurate as possible the records of these foreign fighters. The information age should prevent such farce as the above mentioned crimes from being such a constant matter in the global pugilistic game as we currently know it. If anybody has insight on the records of fighters in any of the countries lingering in the dark ages give us the list of most updated ranking and most accurate records. This will give us a start on the future of boxing on a global scale. And it will be free, because as humans which should not ever have to pay to know what a boxer's real record is. GIT ER' DONE!
I was specifically interested in national rankings w/updated records.....as there are very few national governing bodies that post their rankings for the public to see. Also, boxrec is absolutely the best in record capture ...however, many fighters are missing quite a few fights ....for example sonny boy jaro of the philippines is listed at 3-1 however he has won 17 fights and has competed in over 20.
