I know we went through it all a while ago, but today is the day

Any comments on:

1) Who you're voting for or at least who your not voting for and why (I'll put a poll in just for anyone who wishes. Also I've sold the results to newsnight for a grand so please use it)
2) Main issue at the centre of your choice
3) If you're not voting, why (not a repremand, just out of interest.)
4) Can't think of anything else. I had masses of intelligent questions to ask but I've forgotten them all now and can only think about how I really can't be bothered waiting for kettle's to boil.

cos i cant find my polling card and im out with a lass tonight so aint got time.

im also very indifferent to the politicians and premises involved, i dont see one side as better than the other.

as ive said before one set of liars or a bunch of incompetents.

some choice.

Voting Labour but only cos my local MP was good on top up fees and on the war, blair can f--k himself for all I cair.

I'm probably gonna vote either socialist labour or green. I'll see how I feel when i get there. Why? because they are the only parties small enoughto still be democratically structured and not completely co-opted by big buisness. If there was any chance of th tories getting my seat I would vote tactically, but they get fornicate all votes in Scotland, especially Glasgow.

As long as the tories don't get in im pretty content. If they do I think I'll move to denmark or join al queda.

Hut and Smit, know what you mean. I voted ssp or green at the last scottish election. Just becasue of the Prop representation they get a bit of a chance for seats and can mix it up a bit and get their oar in at Holyrood. Worth it for the comedy things the ssp get up to every now and then. For UK though, I have to vote Liberal. Labour safe seat here, but with boundary change and Labour (Blair) being tosser's there might be enough of a chance to run them close this time and unseat them at the next.

Last election here i voted for the Marijuana Party i just thought how cool a bunch of hippies in parliament listening to reggae and getting stoned, We are forced to vote in Australia so i either write obcenitys on the ballot form or vote for rediculuos partys.

Monster Raving Loonies sound about the best party to me.

They propose to scrap income tax, and place the contents of the treasury coffers on number 7 at the 3.30 at Haydock, at a price of 16/1.

I'm pissed they never get as far North as here. They'd have my vote in an instant. I think they also plan to issue a 99p coin. How can you argue with any of those policies?

Are they still going? Thought that after Screaming Lord Sutch died they were no more. Looks like i'll be voting after all!

Never even received a polling card, I pay council tax, so quite why not, I don't know. Seems I don't exist. If only Student Loans felt that way...

In 1994 there was a "politician", Jacob Haugaard, that was elected in to the danish parlament, it was the 6th or 7th time he ran for parlament but the only time he got even close to get votes enough.
"But the most surprising outcome of the election was in Århus County, where comedian Jacob Haugaard was elected as an independent candidate on a campaign platform of shorter lines at supermarkets, better weather, nicer Christmas presents, a tailwind for cyclists, free kettles for old-age pensioners, and the right of men to be impotent (Viagra had not been introduced yet.) Haugaard, who won 23,253 personal votes in the election, became the third independent ever to be elected to the Folketing."

Labour will get my vote.

I am thinking about voting for Plaid Cymru in the quest to put some pressure on getting our own government (I'm not a nationalist, but do think he have the resourse to be our own country). However, it is such a wasted voted in my constituency that I will vote Labour, because it is usually a fairly closish Labour vs Tory seat - and I do not want the latter.

Did he realise his policies, or is the "was" a politician a clue?

He did run for a party for local elections but since it is way harder for a party to run for parlament then it is for a single person. It was only meant as a joke but people got sick of the normal politicians that he somehow got enough votes to come in.
He is a pretty famous comedian/actor that was part of a duo that made some really funny comercials at the time.

Any vote other than Labour is considered a wasted vote in my constituency too but sod it, I've voted Plaid Cymru. One day.............

Well, the blooming Tories got in my constituency, I cannot believe it.

Mind you, I didn't even know the labour canditate was a women (as the outgoing MP was leaving the constituency). None of the canditates made any effort in my constituency and all should really be ashamed.

I did know what Crabb (the tory) looked like before hand, so I suppose he made the most effort.

The labour canditate should be ashamed, in 1997 we had the brilliant Nick Anger here and I do believe he held in Carmathen, this one didn't do any campaigning at all - no letter, no leaflet nothing.

It seems this is quite the norm, my wife and her mother both didn`t recieve their cards either.
Two people from just my immediate family, I wonder how much this does happen??

Same old shyte for another 4-5yrs then

Well, Labour keeps its safe seat here, although there's a 7% swing to Liberals, who gain 9% overall (helped by boundary changes as well as the war.)

Hopefully the outcome of the election as a whole will be what many intended - to put the frighteners on Labour, and give it a bit of a red botty. And pushing through stuff like ID cards (which, as far as I know, entails charging the tax payer £x billion to paint your driving liscence a pretty colour) harder to do.
