He can't fight at Middle - he avoided Winky like the plague at Lt Middle.

Whittikar, Chavez, Trinidad, Moseley, Vargas, Ruelas, Molina, Hernandez, Leija (at Lightweight), Gatti (as a comeback fight!), Hopkins, Quartey.

He was pushed to fight all of these.

To suggest the man has shown fear of any fighter is ridiculous, he was fighting way outside of his natural weight class when Hopkins stoppied him. The problem he has is that having risen as far in weight as he can go there are no major challenges for him now.

and not only that, he FOUGHT Hopkins. He stood infront of him and fought. He didn't try to move around and did what he did in the end of the Trinidad fight. He tried to fight Hopkins - and for me possibly gave Hopkins his toughest fight in his championship reign.

Thats why I have said, if (and there is no chance of it happening) DLH vs Hopkins II was announced I would buy it, cause I think DLH wouldn't fight like that again.

My definition of someone with "balls" is someone who fights in these super fights, not necessarily someone who wins Superfights.

Castillo lost to Corrales and to Mayweather and never rematched Johnston after their controvesially draw in their second fight. In his biggest matches he has come up short, shall we question his balls?

Castillo has more balls than DLH!

Dlh wanted no part of Mosley after he beat him until Mosley was damaged.

Same with Vargas!

That bodyshot from Bhop showed Dlh to be less than a warrior if you ask me!

Quartey was out of the ring 19months due to dlh cancelling twice.. remember that?.

He is a good fighter - but most would be viewed as fgood if the had the path he took.

As for putting Bhop at Number 1 P4P based on Beating DLh....Dlh should not have even been in the top 10 at the time !

Tito absolutely did not beat De La Hoya

Chavez was the top guy at the weight - saying 'oh he was too old' after DLH beat him is bullshit. That's boxing mate. The younger fighters eventually come up and knock off the older ones.

Regardless, the point I objected to wasn't the fact that you think DLH is no good, or even that you think he's been matched carefully. It was that you think he's gutless. The former is your opinon, and your welcome to it. The latter is patent rubbish and you know it. Lets not even start on the fact that people with no balls don't climb in with that many good-to-great fighters over that many weight classes. People with no balls don't fight for a living, full stop.

I think there are a lot of trolls on this board who like to be contravercial and slate fighters just becuase it is genarally accepted that they are good fighters. No one can be 100% sereouse in calling DLH a chicken they are probably just reacting to other people ullegising about them.

Still better than the current sean though.

DG's constant De La Hoya rants are hilarious - I've rarely met individuals with such a biased, personal agenda against one fighter. De La Hoya isn't an all-time great, as he's come up short too many times against other modern 'greats', but he's head and shoulders above most modern day fighters.
To rally from a heavy knockdown against the naturally bigger man, Quartey, to stage that thrilling rally in the twelth, was a great performance, and before you pull out the ring rust excuse again, it didn't seem to affect Tsyzu against Mitchell recently

To use just one more example, just name me one fighter, before or since, who destroyed Jesse James Leija in the manner De La Hoya did?
I also believe he convincingly won the fight against Trinidad and edged the rematch with Mosley.
Stop letting your personal dislike of him get in the way of an objective opinion of the man mate.
Sure, he's been carefully matched, but no-one's been more carefully matched than the likes of Hatton, yet Ricky, excellent fighter though he is, will struggle to win a single belt in one weight division, let alone win multiple belts in multiple divisions - you can only do that if you're something really special, no matter how good your match-maker is.
