Pro-Am shows

Anyone think that promoters will have any interest in Pro-Am shows in the future? Now that the biggest name has turned pro i can't see much interest in them for the bigger promoters.

I still think for the small hall shows they would be a good idea, having local amatuer lads on a show would bring in local support so more bums on seat for promoter.

I think the professional promoters have always been interested in the possibility of Pro-Am shows, it's a great wat to encourage local interest and showcase future stars. It's the ABAE who have always put the kaibosh on the subject.

I think the idea for pro-am cards was just a way of allegedly cashing in on Amir Kahn if he didn't want to turn pro.
