Brewster/Golota video

Post by Phoenix »

trimmed it to just the fight to keep the file small (you'll need divx to watch it too).

Nice one my son. Golota way too stiff and upright again, guess he didn't learn much against Lennox Lewis. His spotty back has cleared up since 97 but the rest was similar!

Watch the fight again, as Golota hits the floor from the first left hook he puts his right glove off to block the punch when he's on his back!! ;)

He was gone!

Commentary team was usual HBO suspects these days, first Larry Merchant, then Jim Lampley with Roy Jones coming in.

Thanks for that. :TU:

Looks like Golota came in too cold and too upright and got stopped fair and square, allthough our own Lennox Lewis did the same to him years ago.

Some poster on the Current Scene is claiming Golota took a dive.

No way Golota took a dive, after he hits the mat for the first time watch carefully he puts his right glove up to block the left hook thats just flattened him a second earlier.

Great finish by Brewster, caught Golota completely cold and upright, good observations as well by the HBO boys. Roy Jones commented as soon as Golota hit the canvas for the first time that the fight was effectively over. Golota will just have to wait for his next title shot to win a belt.

Many thanks to Phoenix and Shirow. That is the best quality picture I've seen via the net. As good as telly for me with just a little halting.

Felt a bit sorry for Golota...Roy Jones' commentary was class though.

Larry Merchant always gets his "Thought for the Day" in just before the first bell still. I don't know why we can't have the HBO commentary ourselves when Sky show US fights not involving British fighters (ie where there is no reason to send commentators over there). Personally I'd rather hear Lampley, Merchant and Jones' objective observations on some of these guys than hear Adam Smith cranking himself into a frenzy.

Heh heh :TU:

By the way i don't want to steal any of Phoenix' credit. I just downloaded it and uploaded it again. Without reading properly i thought people were having trouble cos the file had reached it's d/l limit.

I could live without Merchant's record breaking sentences and off the wall fight summaries. RJJ is excellent, def. a great move replacing crazy george with him, time for Larry to go too IMO..
