I heard a rumor in the states that the Queen was thinking about becoming a "heavyweight" pro fighter. Is this true??

Does she really weigh over 200 lbs? ( or what ever stones? )

i was on holiday in the states last year and i swear, if another taxi driver asks me if i've had tea with the queen again i'll shoot em' by the end of the holiday we just said we had, and they believed it

and this happened in every taxi we got in

A guy in New York said to me "oh England that's near Scotland right?" - "yes it is" - "my friend David lives in Scotland, do you know him?" - "ummm, I dont think so."

The sad thing is, if you conducted a survey on 100 average americans about geography, that map would truly be an accurate illustration of the results...

There was a case during the 96 Olympics when some guy from New Mexico called the 800 number for tickets to the Atlanta games and the operator told him, "Sorry, but this number is for Americans only". He was unable to convince her that New Mexico is part of the US.

Anyway, it runs both ways. I was in London years ago and when people found out I was from Texas, they automatically assumed that I lived on a ranch with lots of cattle and oil wells.

Decent crack about other countries, no I think actually we are just a little more polite that all the assholes that like to portray us otherwise, I could certainly throw a few remarks out, but I won't as I don't have to go after an entire country, I prefer to focus on one idiot instead his country!

Don't lie. You yanks can't get enough of our Hugh Grant Romantic 'comedies'.

Have to say I've been on friendly terms with just about every American I've come into contact with - and their have been a lot, of all ages, during the years. The only ones who came across as rude and obnoxious were immigrant taxi drivers speaking broken English. Do those people count as 'American', though?
