Its forgotten that Willard had one defense of the title before he lost it to dempsey. His only defense was against Frank Moran in a 10 round NC. then he was inactive for 3 years before losing it.
Doe anyone know anything about this bout like what happened and if Frank Moran gave him a competitive fight. I see Frank Moran also fought Jack Johnson for the title and lost a refs decision. So can anyone give me input on if Frank Moran gave competitive fights against Johnson and Willard.
