In the 70s Eddie Gregory won a 10 rd decision over Matthew Franklin. Years later in 1981, when they were both champs, they were gonan square off for millions at MSG on the original Norton/Cooney card in a light heavy unification fight.
Who was the stronger fighter at this point? Who would have been crowned the undisputed champ?
I know Mustafas win over Saad has been said to have been controversial, but at this point in 81 Saad was no Michael Spinks & I could see Mustafa picking him apart in his controlled manner, much as he did so brilliantly against Marvin Johnson.
SAAD v MUSTAFA II, what if..........? (it did nearly happen)

Right on point.I pick Saad basically, he wants it more.If Mustafa tried that lackadasical crap on Saad, he would get it worse.Syntax Error wrote:Got to go with Saad, but only because I am biased.
He was my first boxing hero, after I saw his fights with Lopez & Conteh.
If only Mike Tyson had 1/3 of Saad's heart!!!!!
