Canastota's Class of 2005

Post by Manos de Oro »

Yesterday was induction day at the IBHOF. Fighters Bobby Chacon, Duilio Loi, Barry McGuigan and Terry Norris were inducted, as well as matchmaker Don Fraser and writer Bert Randolph Sugar.

What does everyone make of the inductees? Anyone not deserve to be enshrined?

I'd prefer for the hall to be for the absolute elite. McGuigan and co had some great nights in their careers, but all time greats? Hmmmm........

Yeah, I would prefer the same, but it's the same old debate that always come up - if Ken Norton is in... etc, etc.

I possibly would have had only Chacon and maybe Fraser inducted from this class, maybe not even them. But in the end it's all about popularity, so in that sense the new class is alright.
