Once saw him KO AN Other at Sheffield City Hall to win a Northern Area Title. He could bang at that level
He was a decent fighter from Ingle's camp and was also on the end of THE WORST decision I can ever remember in a UK ring when he beat Henry Wharton around the ring for the whole fight and lost the decision. A disgrace

Slapsie
Remember that. It was an absolute shocker. Disgraceful verdict.
Yep the WHarton verdict was a sickener, right up there with Earl v Vanzie, Dunne v Jacobs and Nelson v Jones as the worst decisions in a British ring.
I think he does a bit of training now. Of course, Ingle renamed him Slugger O'Toole to capture the hearts of the Irish boxing community, I think Ingle did it with a heavyweight tooo - something O'Reilly. I'm just reading Geoffrey Beattie's book about Boxing as a Way of Life and its referenced in there.
Whats more astonishing, is O'Toole's real name is the equally flamboyant Fidel Castro Smith.
Yep I concur too that the Castro-Wharton verdict looked bad. I had Castro a clear winner....whilst rooting for Henry. Decent fight and great atmosphere.
