The 1999-06-26 Paulie Ayala - Johnny Tapia bout was the 1999 Ring Fight of the Year, but does not appear to be marked as such in the database.

We don’t put up Ring Mundial’s or Guantes’ fight of the year either.

Nor any of the many publications all over the globe that would feel left out.

Ask Ring if they will start mentioning BoxRec as a record source in their articles.

Lots of fights are marked here as being Ring Fight of the Year. This one is not. I don't understand your point.
