Dimentreko vs Sidon

I have been impressed with Dimentreko so far, he is only a baby and looks to have a lot of tools. He is also been fighting a lot of 40 somethings and continues this week by fighting German champ Sidon.

However, this fight could test Dimentreko because Sidon has got some ambition (called out Holyfield) and by far the biggest fighter he has faced. I would call this a meaningful test in the fledgling career of Dimentreko. I know a few people who think he might fall at the this hurdle.

What do you think.

Andi is the first tough guy Dimitrenko has to fight. Andi is experienced, big and well prepared. He is there to win the fight and is not bought to lose. Dimitrenko and Sdunek take this fight very serious. IMO Andi has a chance to knock him in the early rounds out. Dimitrenkos chin is debatable and he has no power punch. When it comes to the scorecards it will be a win for Dimitrenko.

Didn't Dimitrenko get knocked down in his last fight? What's the deal with that?

Clean shot on the chin and got up immediately. His legs were also stable after the knockdown.

I'm not Dimitrenko fan but I think it's a little early to question his chin.

Erdei vs Sahnoune is off due to Erdei illness, so Dimitrenko vs Sidon will be main event.

Dimitrenko won on TKO2 after Sidon was down two times. Its was kind of nasty, Sidon was hit with 10 clean punches on the 2nd knockdown.

Sidon has kind of a sad story.
His parents died in a car crash when he was 10, his wife also died in a car crash, so he is alone with 3 children.

Sidon began his amateur career when he was 30.

Poor old Sidon, the guy has had it tough.
But just looking at the boxing how good is Dimitrenko? He's still very young so what is his potential? I see he got past Ross Puritty, which I believe is still a fairly respectable achievement.

I'v been impressed with him in every contest I have seen of him.

Still alot of questions, but looks a promising prospect.

One thing that impressed me with Dimitrenko was his german, he speaks very good german. He is also a law student (in Germany) besides his boxing.

What is it with these Ukrainian supermen? They speak multiple languages, study hard and punch you through a wall if you call them a geek on their way to winning world titles.

That was a brutal knockout - had to feel sorry for his shellshocked daughters, sitting ringside.
Not a good idea to bring your young kids to watch you box, when you cleary have a jaw made from the finest china.

Sidon cut a bizzare sight: he looked like an aging, hip bank manager, with his short grey hair, gel and tribal tatoos.
He was shaken by virtualy any decent shot that landed, and has the fatal flaw of freezing when he gets hit, dropping his hands and lifting his prominent chin up into the air - inviting his opponent as many free shots as he likes.
Even when he was unconcious, his legs were dipping almost to the canvas, then springing the oblivious Sidon back up into the line of fire, letting Dimitrenko tee off a few more for luck....Almost comical if it weren't so dangerous.

The baby faced Dimitrenko looked like a giant 10 year old, having an argument with his uncle. Looked a decent enough operator though.
And that might be enough to take you far in todays heavyweight division.

Compare him with Harrison. He is ten years younger and has achieved more, is better ranked and has better reputation.

It´s the official Ranking of all Boxers with a BDB-Licence (BDB=German Boxing Association). Andi is the German Champion. That might be the reason. Don´t forget that on these Rankings all Sauerland-boxers are missing, including the Klitschko-brothers. They have been fighting for the Austrian Federation for a year.....

I know about the Sauerland boxers, but even if they were there Sidon would still be rated above Dimitrenko. But you are right about Sidon being rated high because he is german champ

Amtierende Deutsche Meister bzw. Internationale Deutsche Meister werden im Kopf der Rangliste ihrer Gewichtsklasse geführt, in der Rangliste selbst jedoch auch eingestuft.

GBA boxers are also included.
