This week's TV action

Post by dondada »

With the glut of quality boxing on this weekend in Britain, Europe and America, I was wondering if anyone has the time or inclination to do a comprehensive TV listing for the next week or so, to include delayed showings? Otherwise, some of us are bound to miss some of it.

I'd do it but am up to my eyeballs at the moment.

Real Deal? 8)

Just for you, Ian, seeing as I'm 'working' from home today:

Today: 12/7

Eurosport, 7pm-9pm

Arsen Khachatria vs Paulo Alejandro Sanchez (middleweight)

Presumably some support action from this French card as well.

Thursday: 14/7

Eurosport, 7pm-9pm

Sinan Samil-Sam vs Peter Okhello (WBC International Heavyweight title)

BEN (Sky Channel 184) 10:30 pm - Midnight

U.S. Boxing. (Probably one of the 'Guilty Promotions' cards. Often some well-matched fights on here, even if the guys aren't household names)

Channel 5, Midnight - 1:10am

Fight Of The Week: Bobby Pacquiao vs. Carlos Navvarro (Super-Featherweight)

Channel 5, 1:10am - 2am

Boxing Classic: Michael Ayers vs Tony Miller (IBO Lightweight title)

[/b]Friday: 15/7

Sky Sports 1, 10pm - Midnight

Kassim Ouma vs. Roman Karmazin (IBF Light-Middleweight title)

Repeated at 2am (Sky Sports 1), 7am Saturday (Sky Sports 3) and 1pm Saaturday (Sky Sports Extra)

Saturday: 16/7

ITV1, 9:15pm - 11:15pm

Matt Skelton vs. Danny Williams (British Heavyweight title)
Amir Khan vs. David Bailey.

No sign of any repeats for this, on any ITV channels

Sunday: 17/7

Sky Sports 1, 1am - 5am

Brian Magee vs. Vitali Tsypko (Vacant European Super-Middleweight title)
Bernard Hopkins vs. Jermaine Taylor (Undisputed Middleweight title)
Oscar Larios vs. Wayne McCullough (WBC Super-Bantemweight title)

Repeats at 10:30am (Sky Sports 1), 5pm (Sky Sports 2) and 10pm (Sky Sports 1)

First productive thing I've done all day.... If I've missed anything, let me know.

They haven't mentioned Eastman, either on their website, or on any T.V. build-up. I would have thought that they'd show a bit if they get the chance, though.

I think Sky are only focusing on the Magee fight because of the EBU title on the line. I'm sure we'll get highlights of the real main event.

Amazing those idiots at Sky are not showing Eastman/Abraham - a real quality cross roads fight.
Then again, the Sky team wouldn't know a quality fight if it bit them in the arse ( the same planks who brought us MAB v Fana but passed on Trinidad/Mayorga ).

The real main event in Germany is live on ARD around 10pm.

I think Howard loses this one....

I think Eastman loses aswell, this Abraham can whack a bit.

I presume the full show will be on Eurosport sometime, perhaps it might be on Sky a week there isn't live boxing. There is still 3 good fights on that bill.

Although not live boxing there a program on Wednesday 13/07 at 7.30 on BBC2 called World's Most Photographed, this week is
Muhammad Ali: The extraordinary story of the boxer's rollercoaster ride to fame through his initial triumphs, infamy because of his refusal to fight in Vietnam and subsequent redemption.
