Julio Cesar Chavez and son

Post by JimmyJamJerusalem »

Shit I can't believe it Julio Cesar Chavez is fighting his 116th fight, at the ripe old age of 43, topping a Showtime bill no-less!

I thought he'd packed it in ages ago. What a legend.

It seems his boy is doing wonders also, he too is boxing on the same bill in his 21st fight, and he's only 19.

What a family!!

Showtime is trying to milk Mexican boxing fans' cash. I'm not paying for anything with Chavez. Honestly, I don't want to see him get hurt. He's a legend and I would hate to see him end up like other boxers who slur when they talk. As for his son, he's still young but he seems to have all the right tools, now we just have to see his natural ability. Of course he's still too young but from what i've seen he has the potential to be a champion. But his chin hasn't been tested, his stamina is lacking, and of course he needs experience. I wish him the best of luck.

Yes, vagabundo, will be interesting to see what happens when Jr's chin gets tested. :D

Sr. will fight for a while yet, IMO.

Jr's a real talent. If he works hard in the gym and gets moved up gradually he'll be champion someday.

Hopefully he won't be another Camacho Jr.
