Vacant WBE European Youth Welterweight Title
Vacant EBF European Youth Welterweight Title
Vacant GBC Intercontinental Welterweight Title

This is what the sport needs, genuine title fights like this one to bring it back into the mainstream and full credit to KANAL AVRUPA TV for showing it. I bet they'll be a queue on the boxing torrents sites for this one.

I'm thinking of a road trip myself, can't afford to miss this one.

Well Gereev is unbeaten at 5-0 so i would make him the slight favourite, however Karaka's 2-2 record shows he is ready for this multi title shot, should be a cracker.

Excellent news. But should there not be a Calzaghe-type disclaimer warning that the fight will only go ahead as long as Gereev manages to negociate tricky and durable light-middleweight Vaclav Bodack first?

GBC intercontinental title is particularly amusing, suggesting that there is actually a holder of the 'world title.' The GBC's the one run by the people of a.n.d. isn't it?

Since he doesnt list GBC on his site I doubt it. It will mean GBC will be world male sanctionbody #29. 16 female sanctionbodies so far.

Gereev's record is unbelievable, it makes Butterbean's opposition look world-class.

I always thought the next step up for a prospect was to fight somebody with a winning record, but in Gereev's case it will be to fight somebody with a win.

Well now we know that Gereev can beat someone who has actually won a fight before I personally think he will be unstoppable. I'd suggest Judah-Tarver-Johnson (both of these together) - Byrd-Ruiz-Butterbean-Peter Buckley as a career path, finished off by challenging Plato for his UNIBOX international featherweight title
