Re: heavyweight champions worst preformances in their primes
I think he needed a whole lot more than Kevin Rooney and some ice. I watched this fight again this weekend on ESPN and I have to say that Buster fought a great fight. While Tyson may not have been at the top of his game that night, he still was in his prime and was hardly a shell of the Tyson from 2 years earlier. It was more a case of someone coming into the fight with a plan and some skills. Once Buster didn't back down in the first it was just a matter of time.BrocktonBlockbuster49 wrote:Mike Tyson- TKo'd 10- tyson would have knocked buster douglas out if he simply had kevin rooney in his corner. they didnt even have ice to puut on his eye during the fight, they used a baloon full of water.
As far as someone in their prime who had an off night -- how about Witherspoon against Bonecrusher? Blown out in one by a guy he had already beaten.
