Ruiz Vs All Time Greats

Post by BoxBuzz »

I was just erasing some tapes today in order to have them ready for something useful at some future point (with the high price of video tape and all...you know how it is).

While I was scanning them It struck me to ask this important question.

Have we ever really taken the time to Rate Ruiz against the all time Greats from the past? Here is our chance. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

Ruiz hugs them until they get tired of acting so they just lie there and Ruiz hugs them even when they're on the ground sorta like a pin so he beats them all. Either that.. or they bring in the steel chair and get disqualified. Just joking.

Ruiz beats joe louis by TKO 12. he gets the brown bomber in a bear hug and squeeses for 11 rounds and louis uses up all his strength trying to break the grip and he collapses in the 12th.

Ruiz NC win over goerge Foreman- foreman wins by TKo but afterwards, it is found that foreman tested positive for steroids cause norman stone put pills in foremans drink when he wasnt looking. so ruiz defends succesfulyl against foreman.

Ruiz DQ 1 over john L sullivan- they get into a wreslting match and the stronger sullivan hip tosses ruiz out of the ring breaking ruiz arm and granting a ruiz victory based on an illegal throw by sullivan,

Ruiz KO 1 Sonny Liston - they come out of the corner and liston nails a hard combo which floors ruiz. ruiz gets up groggy and hugs liston who pushes ruiz away from him and breaks ruiz nose with a jab. ruiz in desperate trouble about to be KOed when ruiz throws a quickb sharp right hand that didnt even look like it landed and liston goes down abrubly and gets counted out.

John Ruiz DQ 5 over Jack Dempsey - Jack Dempsey gives ruiz the beating of his life for 5 rounds and could have knocked him out sooner. but held ruiz out so he could damage him due to the exxcesive hugging ruiz did on him. after 5 rounds ruiz doesnt come out for the 5th round with his whole face a bloddy mess. norm stone protests to the ref that no man could do that much damage to a great champino like ruiz, and to check dempseys gloves. the ref checks dempseys gloves and bandages and finds plaster in his bandages and Disqaulifies jack dempsey and awards the title back to john ruiz.

RUiz Technical Draw over Rocky Marciano- Ruiz comes out and clicnhes marciano and marciano delivers a punch to ruiz ribs and ruiz cries in pain and goes down. ruiz gets up and stays away and marciano lands another couple body blows and down goes ruiz again. ruiz survives the round, comes out for round 2 and rocky batters away at his arms until ruiz can no longer lift them up to clinch and hug marciano. ruiz knowing his title reign will come to an end soon, gets in a clinch and thrust his head upward into rocky marcianos nose. marcianos nose splits open and the docotor decides to stop the fight and since it ha only gone 2 roudns it becomes a techinical draw. al weill is off in the sidleines screaming at the ref that ruiz did an intentional heabutt. ruiz remaines undefeated and retians his title again.

John Ruiz D 15 Jack Johnson - from start to finish johnson just sit backs and waits for ruiz to throw punches and counter, unfortunelty ruiz doesnt throw any punches and just clinches and hugs johnson for 15 rounds. johnson simply waits and waits and ruiz just plods in and hugs. the three judges all score the bout in rounds 0-0 with 15 even. ruiz retains the greatness title with a draw.

ruiz peak night was when he floored and outphysicaled holyfield and used his jab to win a wide unanimous decision win in there 2nd fight.

the 3rd fight sucked and holyfield got robbed. ruiz tryed to knock him out rather than jab and use skill. he thought cuase he almost knockerdd him out in the 2nd fight he would do so in the 3rd.

John Ruiz beating most of all time greats in the heavyweight division is a biggest joke I ever heard of. They would kill Ruiz if they were in the same era together.

Let me be perfectly clear, I have a tendency to have fun here. So I am drawn quite often to things I consider humorous. I get grouched at on occasion that I don't take things seriously enough. I think the world is too damn serious for the most part. I hope I display a good enough knowledge base of boxing to get some respect and a good enough sense of humor to keep things entertaining.

I also go off on some pretty damn strange tangents on account of because it just plain suits me. Doubt I'm going to stop this behavior anytime soon. cuz I'm just onery that way.

But for the record Lou Thesz is the best of these Wrestlers (and they all are former Wresting Champions for those who really don't know) With John Ruiz perhaps a close second.
