I always wondered this as well, judging by Ikes preformances, i would say Trinidad might KO him. for ike to win, he would have to avoid a slug out and avoid getting caught. he would have to use his jab, and box tito and stay outside and work the combos. he also does have the power to at leats floor tito if not knock him out. but ike doesnt have the best chin and de la hoya floored him twice with left hooks and jose luis lopez floored him twice. tito has more power than both and i think he might get to ike. but then again, tito is overated as a boxer and i think ike could outpopind him.

I really don't even know how to rate Ike's chin, because he goes down but he always gets back up.

Like Trinidad, except for the Hopkins fight.

I could see both of them getting dropped in this fight a numerous amount of times, with Quartey coming away with a decent UD.

Trinidad wins this and it would be pretty damn easy. To begin with at 147 Trinidad was much more mobile than at 160. Plus he threw jabs and straight right hands not just left hooks! Best of all he took his time and planned and strategized a bit before going to work. And Ike had Quartey had a fatal flaw that Trinidad would have picked up on it right away. When Quartey jabbed, and he did this every time, he leaned his weight way up on his front foot. That is why he was unable to step in with his jab against DLH and why, if he was the aggressor, he rarely threw the "old 1-2". (instead he had to rock back onto his right foot then forward again to throw a right.) It would be only a matter of time- maybe the 5th or 6th- until Trinidad caught him coming up onto that left foot and nailed him with a right, or caught him rocking back and nailed him with a hook. In either case that would precede the end of the fight by less than 60 seconds as Trinidad was a much better finisher than DLH.

Quartey did this but no one was able do anything about it and IMO, Trinidad mobile or not would be getting outboxed.

The problem that Ike would have is that every time he jabbed, he would be stuck right there. (how can he, or anyone, move with their weight all on their front foot?) Now, when he fought Phillips it was a different story as Vince stayed on him and kept coming; Quartey was able to throw and land combinations that made him look amazingly good. But if you stayed out of range, moved in and out and circled, he would be stuck in a very bad spot. Then consider this; when he fought Jose Luis Lopez he landed jab after jab but where were the follow up punches? And every time Lopez landed it hurt Ike. Against DLH he was twice floored by hooks when he dropped his hands while at close range exchanging punches. Trinidad hits harder than Oscar and is better defensively and throws more and lands more than Lopez. Ike ain't got the best set of whiskers and he has some technical liabilities. Trinidad by KO

I see where your coming from and I understand your pic, but I myself would put my money on Quartey because he had more than just power he actually had skill.
