Last I checked, Cedric Kushner ruled it out, I read from boxingtalk.
Any light to shed on this?
Personally, I think this is the ideal fight for Audley at this point.
Any news on Harrison-McCline?

Had a look at boxingtalk and nothing more than Audley's response to Kushner, which was basically to say, "eh, McLine's agreed, you're getting more $$$ than for Brock or Byrd fights, what's your punani here?"
And on boxrec's record of McLine he's down to fight Zuri Lawrence http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=008943 on 21st Oct

I think McCline is now fighting someone else, ie hes ducked the fight. PITY. Maybe Audley can get someone like Sam, Vidoz or Hoffman i nthe ring but he'd probably have to goto Germany, which wouldn't be his style.
Did Monte Barrett turn him down? Could be winnable. Whittaker would improve his ranking. Serguei Lyakhovich is well thought of but pretty average looking.
Maybe Skeleton-Audley will happen after all

I think half the problem is Audley's next fight(s) will be in America, against an American, which is a shame. A Sam fight could be interesting (although IMO Audley would stand a better chance v McLine) but no way would you get terms agreed and Sam on a Jumbo over to the US. He's got a WBC #1 anyway, why would he jephordise that?
That really is the problem with pretty much every decent European, although I would say Fwank & co would probably be at their most accomodating right now to make Audrey-Skelton work, as viable opponents for Skleton seem to be scarce

Sam is the new #1 at the WBC. Why should he fight Harrison? He is waiting for Vitali in Spring 2006.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:I think McCline is now fighting someone else, ie hes ducked the fight. If Vidoz would beat Sprott he had to fight Cengiz Koc.
Hoffmann would be an option for Harrison. Best name for him and an option to fight for the EBU-title after a win. Maybe the only top ten boxer in Europe where Harrison could win.

Was there not talk that Hoffman was on the verge of quitting after losing to Vidoz, or am I off the track? I remember tinking at the time it would be a bit OTT if he did.BubiScholz wrote:Sam is the new #1 at the WBC. Why should he fight Harrison? Even with Hoffman you have problems in getting Saureland boxers to go over to the US, or even the UK.
