hey man if ur gonna put rocky had # 1 at least spell is name right

- I think joe louis and muhammad ali should rank ahead of him at 1 and 2. I rate marciano at 3rd all time.

reasons why

ali- he never lost in his prime, faced the best competetion, and ruled the division past his prime in the greatest heavyweight era.

louis- Most title defenses of all time, faced great competetion. beat many hof and champions. lost only once in his prime and avenged that loss with a brutal KO.

- HA i see u have rex layne there. I think rex layne was a decent oontender who sometimes doesnt get enough credit, but thats mainly due to after suffering brutal KO losses to marciano and charles, he was never the same again and losses alot. but in his prime he was a tough contender. but he did record some great wins. he beat contenders joe kahut and turkey thompson. he knocked out light heavyweight dave whitlock. he proved himself a top contender when he took bob satterfields best punches and came back to KO satterfield late. he also beat all time great heavyweight jersey joe walcott who didnt look himself that day. after racking up impressive wins early in his career, he became touted as the next jack dempsey. IN FACT, dempsey kind of looked at him as his protege for a little while.

i have marciano -layne and walcott-layne. walcott didnt look good against layne, it was one of his inconsistent nights. walcott looked a lot better in his next bouts vs charles and marciano.

- after watching layne fight, he was a strong mormon or at 6' 200lb, he looked a lot taller than 6'. i think he was probably 6'2. he looked a lot taller than a 5'11 marciano. layne had a good chin, he was strong, and he could hit pretty hard, and had ALOT OF HEART. it took a lot of heart getting up after eating satterfields right hand, and a lot of heart getting up after the charles knockdowns. layne took a beating from charles but kept on coming and getting up.

-layne was more of a slugger than a boxer.

- layne was never the same after suffering a brutal KO from marciano and then charles. marcianos one right hand " sheered laynes front teeth of at the nubs". one right hand made layne do a delayed reaction, then fall to the canvas out cold.

so though I do think layne was a legite contender in his prime, its a joke to have him rated 12th all time. i would have a hard time putting layne in my top 100 heavyweights of all time.

i tend to think more highly of roland la starza who showed skills on tape. now theres a man whos underated.

foreman should be lower, more like 5-10. and louis should be way higher, more like 1 or 2. joe louis IMO was the greatest of all time. also lennox lewis is too high.
