From the BBC - he has retired because of repeated injuries.

Personally I find it sad, if the rigt thing to do. It is a case of unfulfilled potnetial.

There is a bit more info in the piece Bubi pasted. He is getting his "crossband" (Directly translated from both the danish and german word) repaired. He will not be doing for atleast 6 months after the operation.

Bit of a shocker this.

The only Heavyweight title fights on the horizon I had any interest in were Vitali vs Rahman, Toney & Valuev.
