Hello Boxing Cognescenti,
I believe he's from Thailand, last I knew he was a straw weight. Anyone have any thoughts, poems, anecdotes, remembrances of Surachai Ringboy? I can find no mention of him here at this site. Am I missing out on an alias or something?
Google searches turn up some references of him from last July as being dropped from someone's rankings.
Like to find out what he's been up to and if he's now (as is the wont of many asian fighters) called something else, I guess.
As he was 15-1 the last time I could find a record on him, I can't beleive he just vanished....a little help here?
Thanks!

John,
I've done a little more digging around. The IBO computer rankings still list a Surachai Ringboy as being undefeated at 18-0-1 and ranked close to 15th or higher. He supposedly fought last in July 2001 and won. The draw was the only blemish on his record, and he allegedly had ripped off 5 wins in a row since then, although the dates weren't provided. Saengmorakot, according to Boxrec.com, hasn't fought since November of 2000, at flyweight as opposed to straw or minimum, lost that last one to a guy making his pro-debut, and has 5 losses and no draws scattered throughout his ledger, with 19 wins.
Given we're talking Thai fighters here and I suppose anything is possible, could these actually be the same guy? The ages are about right (25), but there seems to be a big disparity in records and weight classes.
Any thoughts John, anyone?
Thanks!
