Would Ricky have took the Harris fight or would he have took a different option, i know sum of you may think it's a stupid question but many people believe Ricky is taking an easy option for the WBA belt facing Maussa ???

It's a good question. Personally, I think Hatton would have been looking at fighting Harris, because I think there was some unfinished business there. I also think that people would have been happy to see the fight.

I also think that Harris fucked up when he turned down seven hundred and fifty grand. When is he likely to get that again? Never, that's when.

Maussa messed things up, because, despite winning the WBA strap, he's still considered to be worse than Harris.. If Ricky was fighting Harris tomorrow, people would be much happier with the match.

I think he would have gone the Harris route, he was the easiest champion anyway. He should have lost to Urkal in the first meeting and was never convincing. Would Harris have negotiated though is a different matter.

Hatton would have beaten Harris years ago, just like he would have beaten Maussa years back.

Harris is been very underated now - Harris was out of sorts against Maussa (like Lennox-Rahman, Wlad-Brewster - Mannys fighters do this sometimes). A prepared Harris can beat (or at least trouble) allot of fighters - theres a reason Mayweather/Cotto/Hatton ducked out of been his mandatory. He is a world class fighter on his day.

His fight after Zoo was always destined to be an easy fight so fighting Harris wouldn't have happend. Why would Hatton have risked a Harris fight - the win-loss ratio isn't good - He probably would have pushed harder for a Corrales or took a lesser victim. Or maybe even a Mayweather fight.

I think Maussas fluke win was a dream of sorts come true (after of course the great Zoo win)
