Who will go to America for Ricky's next fight ???
Looks like Rick will fight his next fight in the USA, probably against Gatti, Cotto or PBF, i said to myself before Saturday that i'll go and watch him next year in the states, i just hope he gets PBF, so who else is willing to go & follow Hatton.
Come on boys ya should have over 6 months to save up.
I've never been to the USA for a fight night so this is a perfect opportunity.

I'd go for Cotto or Mayweather, been to America a good few times but always missed fights when there as they have been planned Holidays, rather than for Boxing at the times I'd been.
Had Mayweather not got to Gatti 1st the idea would of sounded better. But its far enough to go and to warrent the cost, best leave it for a big one. Who know's what Gatti would have left in the tank, I can't see him having much against Hatton, too many wars for Arturo, who is one of my fav fighters also.
If Hatton Gatti was in the UK, I'd go, States for Cotto and Mayweather

I've never fancied America in the slightest but i've always said if Hatton went over and fought a decent title fight i would go over!
The only problem is that if he is going to be fighting in 6/7 months this may well clash with the World Cup in Germany.
Hatton v Gatti - i go the World Cup
Hatton v Mayweather or Cotto - difficult one!!

None of them. Yes, I love the atmosphere of a big fight but I wouldn't be prepared to go to another one unless I was within ten rows of the ring, and the bigger the fight the more $ seats cost, and the harder it becomes to justify splashing all that out for it. I'll end up going to a lot of smaller shows where the view is clear and tickets are reasonable; I'd rather watch a big fight on TV than be thirty of fourty rows back from the ring having some idiot jumping up and down on front of me distorting what is already a poor view.J wrote:cotto or PBF defininitely
Gatti no.

I am in agreence now. If im honest im more a fan of the domestic scene of boxing than i am in the big world title fights. Don't get me wrong i love watching/reading about the world class fights and dont mind shelling out to see them (Brodie-Chi 1 and 2 and numerous others) , but i prefer the bread and butter . I love the atmosphere and the boxing of a Eugene Maloney or Dave Bradley show.

You guys are underestimating the marketability of Gatti. I think he’s perfect for Hatton’s debut on US soil.
An exciting fight (while it lasts) is almost guaranteed even if Gatti can’t take what Hatton has to give for more than 6 rounds. A slick master boxer like PBF was always going to thrash Gatti, an opponent who he doesn’t have to go looking for will provide fireworks.
I think the fight is a natural…
My visiting the US depends on the timing, if it’s in May then it’s unlikely for me (should be moving around that time, missus’s birthday etc) but a late summer/Autumn scrap against PBF could well see Goz fulfil one of his lifelong dreams of travelling to Vegas to cheer on a British fighter.
Gutted I didn’t do it when Lennox was around really…..

im thinking exactly the same chap, i still owe my bro a weekend in vegas but I want to do it when the time is right an the fight is right i.e cotto and PBF (if hatton fights both ill go to both).
its a long way to go for a one sided fight. I will also do my bollox on the tickets. Dont see the point in going all that way to have a crap view.
then when the boxing is finihsed i'll be on one til i fly home. sleep on the plane

Oh yes, my first boxing trip to Vegas will make a legend out of meJ wrote: then when the boxing is finihsed i'll be on one til i fly home. sleep on the plane
When Nick and I travelled up to Manchester for Tyson-Francis, I'm planning on it being something like that x 3 days. Without the being stuck in the freezing cold fighting Everton fans for taxis at 5am in the morning bit.
Oh dear, I can imagine you both there wrapped in your union jacks wearing those jester hats with the bells on them & chanting “Easy!......Easy!.....Easy….!” all night. Makes me cringe whenever I hear that, reminds me of the pathetic “Ole Ole” brigade back home….J wrote:im thinking exactly the same chap, i still owe my bro a weekend in vegas but I want to do it when the time is right an the fight is right i.e cotto and PBF (if hatton fights both ill go to both).

I'm going to do my Welsh statto bit here (only cause I was sorting out some tapes and stumbled accross it yesterday) but its not Hatton's debut on U.S. soil. Actually made his second pro start on the Hamed vs Kelly undercard.Goz wrote:You guys are underestimating the marketability of Gatti. I think he’s perfect for Hatton’s debut on US soil.

Just cos i like to party on the odd night out doesnt mean i dont know how to behave, i dont boo national anthems, i dont boo figthers into the ring and i dont behave like a fornicating football yob. I also prefer to be somehwat mroe ingenious with high jinx than wearing twatty hat, drinking 15 pints and chanting inane bollox.
just for the record
