offtopic: help needed with software to compile/edit movies

Hello,

Sorry to use the forum like this. I've got a question concerning movie files, and I thought someone on this forum might be able to help seeing as though some of you make DVD compilations etc.

I have a 5 min clip of me doing something for work which I need to edit down. I want to be able to get rid of the first and last 30 secs and perhaps pull out a minute or so in the middle as well and save this as a separate file.

Does anyone happen to know what software I could use to do this please?
