I believe Povetkin took gold in 12 out of 13 major international tournaments and the one he didn't take gold in, he took silver missing gold by a single point. Plus, as you already know, he has Olympic gold too. Furthermore, Povetkin was a world kickboxing champion on top of all that. I figure Povetkin should be approximately as good as Holyfield was during his prime on a technical level. I don't know if he'll have Holyfields chin and stamina but I'm certain he has poise equal to The Real Deal's poise. It would not be surprising if Povetkin moves up rapidly against opponents ranked higher than what a fledgling prizefighter would normally face.

I believe he will be a world champ but he will never reach the level of a prime Holyfield. He ruled the super heavies but remember it was an all time low level during the last four years. His final victory (29-27) against Pedro Carrion at the 2003 World Championships was highly controversial.
