Competition
Competition
Im holding a small competition. The winner will have to predict the right outcome of as many of the following fights as possible on the danish card on january 14th. And as tie-breakers you either have to predict the stoppage time or all 3 judges scores in the Kessler vs Lucas fight). The winner will receive the card on DVD. Only posters with more than 50 posts/been on the board before the 1st of july 2005 can compete. If there is changes in the fights before the 12th at midnight CET it will be announced in the thread and people will have the possibility to change their prediction. If the change happens after midnight on the 12th the fight will be a part of the competition. If people edit in their post after deadline they will be disqualified.
Deadline for predictions are friday the 13th at midnight CET
Mikkel Kessler vs Eric Lucas, 12 rounds Super Middleweight
Rudy Markussen vs Alexander Zaitsev, 8 rounds super middleweight
Christian Bladt vs Maxim Nesterenko, 6 rounds welterweight
Martin Kristjansen vs Adolph Avadja, 6 rounds lightweight
Anders Hugger vs Martin Nielsen, 6 rounds cruiserweight
Sebastian Gauthier vs Andrey Bogdanov, 6 rounds super bantamweight
Ervis Masha vs Csaba Ladanyi, 4 rounds featherweight
Claus Bertino vs Zoltan Komlosi, 4 rounds heavyweight
All fights will have 3 judges, so PTS is not good enough, it has to be UD, SD or MD
The card can also be seen here: http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=478483
EDIT:
5 points for correct winner
10 points for correct UD
15 points for correct MD, SD, TD, NC and draw.
10 points for correct predicted tko/ko + 5 points extra for correct round.
If two, or more, top scores have the same point total, then we go to the tie-breakers where the one that is closest will win.

(fights as Freiheit has listed them; winners' name, followed by decision (s)he wins by):
Kessler TKO 10 (2.15)
Christensen UD (97-93, 97-93, 96-94)
Markussen UD
Nesterenko SD
Kristjansen UD
Nielsen KO 3
Gauthier UD
Ladanyi UD
Bertino UD
Good show Freiheit, always good to have a little comp to sort the men out from the boys
Anyone know the name of a reputable nursery school? I'm potty trained.
Bit confused by Hugger-Nielsen - is Hugger's record correct at 0-0? Seems a bit strange that since Nielsen's record doesn't look terribly padded.
Same goes for Masha-Ladyani. I think I've totally misread this, since Ladyani looks to be your opponent for a year or two down the line, so a tough one if this is meant to be a simple debut for Masha. (In saying that, Ladyani doesn't seem a particular danger to anyone with a decent level of skill.
And you wonder why I'm 20th in the prediction league? It's like a bloody Woody Allen movie trying to get me to predict a Julius Francis fight, let alone an entire Danish undercard

Hugger is a pro debutant but have alot of amateur experience where he won the danish championship 5 times. Both him and Martin Nielsen are Team Palle boxers and have meant each others as amateurs. Some of Hugger's amateur record can be seen in the Wiki (The blue book under his info)
The press have already said that Team Palle have been "on sale" with the two hungarians that fights Masha and Bertino.
Remember to submit your stoppage time/score for the Kessler and Christensen fights.

If Lucas was a +7.00 underdog I would definately be putting some money on him. He is +4.00 with a few bookies.
I think he has some sort of chance, a tidy boxer who can take a shot - forget the Green result, the Aussie has the power to do that to anyone when right - and he was right that night.
Kessler looks the goods so far, but has never fought anyone of Lucas' class. I always consider Mundine a poor champion.

Kessler KO6 1:38 Lucas
Lucas has had a long hard career, inactivity+age=losing combo
Markussen UD Zaitsev
Zaitsev has been in with some bangers and is not the worst boxer around. Markussen is a bit crude sometimes and it might be hard for him to hit Zaitsev clean.
Nesterenko MD Bladt
Hugger KO2 Nielsen
Nielsen's defense isn't really top notch and has already been put on the deck by the trialhorse Porras. Hugger is the naturally much bigger man at cruiser, this seems like an awkward step to take for Nielsen, maybe he gave up on his career.
Sebastian Gauthier TKO4 Sergei Tasimov
Martin Kristjansen UD Adolph Avadja
Ervis Masha UD Csaba Ladanyi
