Looks like that Gianluca Branco won't be fighting Junior Witter , he has signed to fight Miguel Cotto.

Looks as if Witter is out in the cold at the moment

i cant even maange a ripple of excitement over this dross they are feeding cotto.

torres tuirned out to be a cracker mind so lets hope branco finds some balls abnd gives it a go.

That leaves witter free to fight floyd then, though i expect floyd will fight baldomir and witter will be left out in the dark again.

Witters still no1 at WBC - he may fight Mayweather next if Mayweather decides to go back down to 140 - which he may, otherwise whos 3rd in line? I would of thought both Castillo and Corrales will be highly ranked when they inevitably move up

Dont rule out Hatton v Witter soon.

Gatti wants Baldomir, Cotto and Branco are booked. Where else does Hatton go for a fight?

Castillo and Corrales are booked. Tsyzu wants 147. Mayweather looks tied up.....

I think Witter v Haton is closer than ever.

The rankings have Witter at 1, so if PBF does move up to welter that leaves Witter to face the next ranked which is Gatti, I think that this is unlikely as Gatti has stated that Light Welter is pretty much beyond him, and he wouldn't want to fight a quick fister elusive boxer anyway, look what happened when he fought PBF.

After that you have Branco at NO3, which isn't going to happen as he has signed the fight with Cotto.

Next at No4 is Juan Urango, Who?? He is a Columbian based in Spain his best result so far is a draw with Mike Arnaoutis, so this could be a very winnable fight for Witter.

Urango's not too bad at all. He'll make Witter work, and that's never a good thing for Witter. Tough little feller.

He spent some time in Indonesia as well recently, following a short break with an injury, apparently getting some warm-weather training in the hot sun out there. There was an article about it, headlined "Urango tans on comeback in Borneo"

My knowledge of the workings of the alphabet boys is about as reliable as Eric Crumble's chin so please excuse my impetuous interruption but...why is Witter having to wait so long for a title shot? Surely he either fights the defending champion or the title is made vacant and he fights the next available contender. Why aren't the WBC sorting out the ifs and buts and giving him his shot? Is it problem politics again? Why does Branco get so many chances? The WBE would never come out with this type of crap

Mayweather won the belt in a mandatory defense, so its not time for another mandatory defense yet. Hatton and Mayweather will have to fight their mandatory defenses at the same time (give or take a few days).
EDIT: And thats not true, Hatton's IBF mandatory defense is up 3-4 months before Mayweathers WBC.
