Who has authority to change results?????

Post by nztyrant »

I asked this question a few days ago when Chauncy Wellivers record was tampered with and his NO CONTEST bout was altered to a loss.
Editors DiLisa and Sevesk accepted that it had been incorrectly changed and it was then changed back to a NO CONTEST.
I notice now it has been changed back to a loss.
Im just curious as to how it works on boxrec and how many people have access to other boxers records.
For example can the person who is changing Chauncys record theoretically go into any boxers fight record and change any result they choose to?
I was an original editor when Boxrec first started as I provided the site with quite a few local (New Zealand) boxers names and details.
I may not have posted enough times or I forgot my password and I suddenly noticed after several years I was no longer listed as a N.Z editor.
I was never given a warning or told if I didnt provide information that I would lose my rights as an editor.
Just one day someone rubbed my name off the editors list??
Can anyone tell me how the system works and also is it possible to reapply for an editors job, we only have one editor listed for New Zealand and I've been told that the editor Mike Attree doesn't even live in New Zealand?? (i may be wrong)
I have attended almost every professional boxing match in this country for the past 17 years and I've never met Mr Attree or had him pointed out to me at the fights.
If you are there and i've missed you maybe we could meet Mike??
Any info would be appreciated
Thanks,

Result

Post by Chauncy »

This result was a no contest, and it should be changed back. If anybody would like to cal the commissioner themselves, they can get the number from AntonS, as he has talked to the commissioner personally, and nobody can change this result, but the commissioner.
My life doesn't need to be tampered with right now, and right or not, the result is a no contest. Ask the commissioner.
Any editor want to call him I will buy a phonecard to do so, and they can get and lock the result, and list a verified by commission as I have asked to have happen.
This is getting irratating, and I hate coming on boxrec everyday to see if my record has been tampered with. I like to come on boxrec and talk on the forum, not to find a fight that I won, I lost, then won, then no contest, then won, then lost, then...ect... ect!
I would like for this result to be locked and listed a commission verified.
The commissioner himself said the result will stand, and is to never be tampered with. :TU:

The problem is that both Anton and I have confirmed that the result was a NC -- yet kiwi keeps changing it back.

How do we lock this thing?

Attree

Maybe Atree can lock it as he seems to be the main NZ editor. He can call McCrystal and get the result. :TU:

Why?

Post by Chauncy »

What is going on? I have seen my record go up and down for 5 ays now, and the commissioner said it is to be a no contest.
Kiwi, I don't know who you are, but quit playing these games. 2 editors have been informed that this is a no contest, and thats unfortunantly what it should be.
Can anybody get ahold of Shep to get this thing over with? As I said, I will pay for a phonecard for anyone who needs to call the commission. :TU:
