Glen Johnson said he'd like to fight his Warrior's Boxing stablemate O'Neil Bell.
what does anyone think of this?
i'd love to see this fight. It may get done in by mandatories though. DK has plenty of leading cruiser contenders to keep Bell busy (he must fight Cunningham & G Jones, & the Brown-Cora winner). & Johnson is/will be made Woods' mandatory. one fantastic fight could disapear under lots of other good ones.
can these two Jamaican born sluggers find the time to fit this in?
it's interesting that the promoters seem to be actively trying to tap into the Jamaican fan base, as there are a lot of ppl of Jamaican heritiage in S Florida. this is where Johnson faces Richard Hall soon. seems like the great Jamaican fighters like Mike McCallum & Simon Brown never got big followings nor did they make a lot of money.

He'd be at risk of a disturbing beating from any of the top guys at cruiser. A couple of years ago, he talked big about fighting Jirov but never went through with it. Seems like Johnson, with all his physical strength, would make a more convincing cruiser. Of the two, he's the 36-year-old who's proven he stil has some more life in his career. And it fits in with plans of the promoter Warrior's Boxing, who are targeting the Jamaican fans in Sth Florida.
