Does anyone know much about the old-time English fighter Charlie Mitchell? Or has there been any previous posts about him? Ive read bits and pieces about him and hes an interesting character. He fought John L Sullivan twice in the 1880s, knocking him down in the first fight before being stopped, and gaining a draw in the second fight. He was knocked out by James Corbett in a later challenge. The interesting point was that he was smaller, more like a middleweight. He was also a bit of a trouble-causer outside the ring as well by all accounts.
