Boxing News report of Gomez-Mcdonagh

Post by boxerrob2005 »

iv just read there report and having wathced the fight myself there seems to be some bad errors. first of all the fight ended in the 5th round, not the 6th as mentioned and it was a right hand that put gomez on the deck not a left.
The reporter who it says was ringside even said they shared the 5th round!?
Unless im going completelty insane it does seem a poor report as most people didnt get to see the fight and will rely on boxing news fot the details of the fight.

They were quick enough to deride my report that I did on the Earl Ling fight from Ringside when no other reporters were present!!!

surely boxing news have full time reporters. if webistes which dont have reporters working full time and unpaid can get there surely they can as we are paying for there magazine coverage.
I think since boxing news has gone to the smaller form its gone downhill. but i know a lot of people perfer it. thought the reports used to be much better in the newspaper version.

If they have got it wrong I'm sure they'll be the first to say so in next week's, but they're ringside reports are normally accurate and having worked with them before they're the most knowledgeable guys I've ever met regarding the sport.

Ever since Jim Brady died their Overseas coverage has gone to being really poor. Instead of getting decent fight-to-fight coverage all we get is whats "reportedly" happened
