I think a peak Mugabi takes advantage of Barkley's poor defense and does a Nigel Benn on him. Mugabi KO2.

Anytime before 88 I think it's Mugabi by KO anywhere between the 1st and 6th rounds. After 88 though, I think Barkley takes everything the Beast can throw at him and then stops him around the 7th round.

Thats the thing I remember abut these two, at times they looked devastating. At other times very beatable.

Agree with Seamus, i dont think John Mugabi was ever the same after his tremendous effort against Marvin Hagler. Up to that point I think it would be Mugabi by KO, after Barkley by KO

Pre-Hagler, and especially the Mugabi that fought Haglr, tops Barkley. After the Hagler fight Iran walks all over him.

I agree, pre 88 Mugabi stops Barkely in the first.

After that Barkeley by mid round stoppage.

Barkley had the better chin, but Mugabi hit so hard that it wouldn't matter. Barkley was the kind of fighter that Mugabi could really do damage to and unless Barkley landed some hay-maker first then Mugabi by knockout in one, or two rounds.
