Brothers in arms indeed!

Post by boxingchat »

welterweight prospect Matthew Hatton is taking a leaf out of big brothers book and fighting the the dangerous Belarussian SUPER-FEATHERWEIGHT Alexander Abramenko. Foster Jnr and Johannsen have already beaten him so what chance does this guy have against a Welterweight?

:D So they don't need Warren after all. Looks like they have already learnt the art of matchmaking (although Warren may have gone for an inactive Bantamweight) :P

Stupid comment, get with the script. This is a guy who on seconds-out says he should be fighting for thre British title yet bottled it against Ross Minter.

Are you justifying this match? If yo are you should be fornicating ashamed.

'Magic' Hatton has always ridden his brothers coat tails and is a far inferior version but he has steadily progressed in recent times. I think he is capable of challenging, if not winning, the domestic weletr title.

Boxingchat do u reckon Warren would have signed and brought along Magic Matthew if he didnt have a successful older brother?

If that is the match, it's a load of shit.

The only thing I can say in its defence is that it seems the lad moved up in weight a while ago.

But anyone with pretentions of fighting for the British title at 11st should not be fighting people who have been stopped by Carl Johanneson.

Personally I thought Hatton's "contest" with Ram Singh was probably the worst of his entire career. It had farcial stoppage written all over it beforehand....and so it proved. Whoever promoted that should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

That reminds me, I've got a fantastic idea for a Bollywood musical about a Seikh solider who secretly wants to star in bollywood musicals....

"Sing Ram Singh!"

Reckon it's got legs.

Stupid :D but true, please publish the script you work from so I can have a read.

I'm sure that most of the boxers in Britain would say that they should be fighting for the British title.

I don't know the score on a Minter match but I doubt that the Hattons and Warren would be voluntarily working together whatever the circumstances.

No I'm not justifying the match but I don't think it merits one of your 3am girl style scoops :P . If you consider the standard of SN matches and the fact that there is only so much damage an area level fighter with a 33% knockout percentage can cause it's just unfortunate that Hatton has left Warren because he probably could of got a WBU title out of this match.

It's on a par anyway with the last opponent Frank served up for Hatton, Adnan Hadoui. Yet another quality French import from Frank who had been knocked out by household names such as Badre Belhadja, Khalil Lahdili, David Lesieur and everyones favourite Magid Ben Driss  .

It is a very poor match, but by christ you don't have get out your pram quick when someone says something you don't like. Why not just have a discussion with the person you don't agree with.

Okay, I grant you that but fornicate me this is a poor fight even for a fighter like the protected Matthew HAtton who is very average at best. even he is better than this.

Nice kid as he is he should not delude himself and realise that he is just a pawn being protected by a king.

The question was rhetorical boxingchat - we all know the answer, but it does go to show the high regard in which FW held Ricky...

I dont rate Matthew Hatton at all, in fact i think he is pretty poor. If he fought Minter i could only see one winner. I doubt though he will ever be stepped up.

FW has no problem with RH according to his many press quotes. It's the hangers-on that have wrecked the mutually beneficial relationship and it will go tits up I guarantee. The Dad is a failked footballer and Carpet dealer. He will get eaten alive and fornicate up his sons career. as for MAtthew FW kept him afloat and paid him stupidly well I have no doubt simply because he was a Hatton. He shouldn't be forced into this mess as it is not his gripe. Minter and him means something.

This is an unnacceptable match up.

Matthew "poor" Hatton is taking a leaf out of Richard "duckman" hattons book and fighting fighters that are well below his weight. It's just wrong. We saw Hatton beat up the likes of pederson and rios. these guys can get seriously hurt in these mismatches.

the hattons should be ashamed of their endevours in my opinion and I can't wait to see them both knocked unconscious to the canvas.

you say its an unacceptable match up (which it is) presumably because his opponent will get seriously hurt, but you think its ok for the hattons to get knocked unconscious you hypicrit.

its a shit match but its not mathews job to pick opponents so to blame him is a bit unfair.he probably knows he wont reach his brothers highs but he's much improved and could cause problems at british level if he keeps getting better, good luck to him :TU:
