job adverts in BN

Post by dandantheweatherman »

There's a couple of job adverts on the back of this week's BN - Birmingham Sports Centre and Riverside Youth Project are both looking for Boxing Development Officers. Advertised salary is £25-26k a year.

Not sure if this floats anyone's boat, but if it does and you don't get BN pm me and I'll scan the ads in and email them to you.

I'll ask me mate Horace Notice (former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champ) if he's interested. Not sure if the pay will float his boat though.

Whats Horace up to nowadays?

Best Criuserweight we never had IMO, if he was around today and with the weight limit 200lbs , Horace would have been a world champion

There was an advert for a similar job in Liverpool a few weeks ago. Before then I'd not heard of any work like this, so makes you wonder why now.

Yes, Dan, that's what I was thinking earlier. Nice one posting these things for people who don't get BN. :TU:

And thanks for the clarification, holyfields ear. Seeing as you follow boxing in Liverpool, do you happen to know what Peter Culshaw is up to these days? Have you heard anything or has there been anything in the regional papers (Echo I think?). Ta :TU:

Of course they'd pay twice as much for "outreach workers" to go round telling people to eat their five portions of fruit & veg a day!

Same on the Isle of Wight as well mate,

Down here we are one of the poorest areas in the south, but because the government see the south as rich , we don't get a look in when it comes to funding.

25 grand a year, thats almost double what i earn.....
