M'baye drops court case, Hatton in the clear.

Post by REAL_DEAL »

More bad news for Boxingchat

World junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton was dropped from a lawsuit between Souleymane M'baye and the WBA on Wednesday and there are now no impediments to Hatton's ability to stage his next fight in America. M'baye, the WBA mandatory contender, had asked a federal court in New York to bar Hatton, the WBA super champion, from taking a fight against anyone other than M'baye for his next bout. But after Hatton's attorney, Scott Shaffer, argued that an American court was not the proper place for a dispute between M'baye, a Frenchman, and Hatton, an Englishman, M'baye's attorney Judd Burstein withdrew the complaint. Shaffer then asked the judge to release Hatton from the case, and the judge granted that request. The case coninued between M'baye and the WBA on M'baye's claims he has been denied a title shot. Meanwhile, Hatton tesitifed briefly as a witness and boarded a plane home to Manchester. He hopes to fight again in May. REMEMBER WHERE YOU HEARD IT FIRST! 8:00 PM EST

Always thought what this had to do with Hatton anyway.

Surely it was between Mbaye's team and the WBA. It wasn't Team Hatton's fault that the WBA sanctioned the match - even if it was an error.

Why did Mbaiye drop the case? Seems unclear - Mbaiye would get a big payday if the case is successful - which it should be if hes the mandatory. I think the case will come back later. Maybe at an unopportune time

He didn't drop the case against the WBA...he just couldn't get Ricky barred from fighting. Looks like Ricky is fighting Harris anyway, who has already beaten M'Baye.

Hopefully Boxinghat will confirm if this is a FACT.

Yes, I'm wary not to trust this information until Mr Factorama can confirm. Funny though, he's been quiet today.

Who can resist his facts, his charm, his unbiased and entirely non-Hatton-centred posts?

I find it thoroughly refreshing that alledged Sports Network employees find the balls to come onto boxing forums and anonomously slate Hatton and his team in approximately 90-95% of his posts (I repeat this is an approximate figure requiring validation.)

P.S. Obcessed is spelt O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D. Slight factual error there.

If you are having trouble keeping up with Boxingchatton then may I suggest http://www.fightpromoteruniversity.com as advertised on the current scene :D although I have some suspicions that it may not be a bonafide university.

Boxingchatton is doing a lecture on 'What to do when your best fighter leaves you' (allegedly)

Dear Boxing Chat,

Ricky Hatton remains undefeated ... inside and outside of the ring ... can your man say the samething. I bet you are feeling quite sorry for him at the moment!!!

A bit strange you have not come onto to this forum today???

Wonder why??

If the result had gone the other way ... I think you would have made yourself center stage!!! ... but nice to see you had the common sense to crawl back to the gutter you came from.

He might have been made redundant with the amount of money his boss is doing in legal fees.

Hopefully boxingchat will be able to clarify this tomorrow, because I didn't pick all of this up.

But I was just driving home about 1/2 hour ago maybe anyway it was on 5 live a report saying that although Hatton is ok, he is in fact not, as M'Baye is still suing the WBA, who could be forced into stripping Hatton for letting him leapfrog M'Baye into Moussa.

If it's been proven it's not Hatton's fault though, why the fornicate punish him by taking his belt away? Just give the WBA a great big fornicate-off fine and shove it into Franks pockets.

Otherwise, Hatton should just drop the title. Doing more harm than good.

Warren funded the M'Baye case, but he wont sue the WBA, its just not worth it.

He has plenty of problems with Lacy and Guzman

This is the guy who got BANNED from ESB and doghouse for being a 40 year old crybaby. he banned half the people on this board because he's a big child.

He has unlimited posts about how bad Hatton is etc. Now he's working for FA as a clinger on and is licking Hattons a$$.

Fu*k off Spud Wollatt you fat fu*k.

he must be the only person around who is hated more than me.

Think you've been rumbled mate.

He was having a pop at boxing chat, not you, how come you've responded? Methinks you are one and the same person, and the evidence looks pretty conclusive from where I'm standing. How the hell would Lirva33 know who Spud Woolatt was anyway?

I'm not boxingchat, as I said, the mods can check the IP's (which will be from different countries). So unless I travel accross the sea to make a post as boxingchat and then take a flight back to make a post as Lirva33, Its safe to say I am not boxingchat.

I'm just sticking up for a mate, especially when this laughing stock is having a pop.

Read my past posts to this Spud Woolatt joker.

I've never liked the c*nt. Riding Hattons nuts after slagging him for years, the fact that he's now a clinger on for the company doesn't mean anything does it Spuddy? And he has the nerve to criticise my mate boxingchat???

I don't think so.

Riding Hatton's nuts ... that one almost made me laugh!!!

You are such a prick you can't even spell my name right ... Bell End!!!

As for a clinger on for the company that Hatton fights for ... yep thats right, its f*cking awful isn't it?? ... the b*stards are forcing me to go to Monte Carlo and other places of extreme poverty ... It's a hard life but I suppose w*nkers like me have to put up with it.

As for your mate Boxing Chat ...

He has to go to the same school as you ... he simply cannot get his FACTS right and until he does you and him will have something in common in that you are both thick as Pig sh*t!!!

Anyhow I am off to do some clinging on ... whilst you carry on watching the sport from your TV and then writing your knowledge on the back of the postage stamp.

Before I go "Bell End" ... announcing you are good friends with "Boxing Chat" hardly gives you any credibility does it.

you have to ask yourself this. If Lirva WAS from the states, how the fornicate would he know who Spud was, or that he worked for fight Academy, I mean, it's hardly fornicating common knowledge.
