I'm researching an ancestor who was know in Colorado as one of the "white hopes" (around 1913) His name was Frank Pantalone. He was a strongman who did some boxing. Born in Italy 1889, came to US around 1905 -- lived in Colorado working in the mines. Went back to Italy during WWI and returned to U.S. in 1924 -- lived in New York on Nassau St. - trying to make a career out of his strength (boxing, circus strongmen, and even went to Hollywood for a short time.)
I am trying to find out more about his boxing career. All I know is that he won 37 out of 38 fights and almost killed a man in the ring. I cannot find anything on him and wonder in he used a different name.
If anyone can help me -- I would greatly appreciate it.
I have a website that gives more info: http://www.strongestofall.com
Thanks so much
