Famous long counts
Tunney-Dempsey is the big one, another well-known case is Douglas-Tyson.
Recently, Krasniqi was given generous time to recover against Brewster, but of course this is not in the same league and didn't have a bearing on the fight's outcome anyway.
Other examples?

If someone mentioned Brewster-Krasniqui (neither great boxers nor boxers of the past) I feel it is OK to mention Sanders-Wlad as well. I don't remember if it was the 1st or the 2nd knockdown, but it was long enough for me to feel something is wrong and recheck it.
I didn't pay any attention to this long count when I watched the fight the first time, because it didn't change anything (and Wlad was going down every couple of seconds, so before you could think "wasn't it too long" he was back on canvas again and now you were thinking like "can he make it this time?").

Isnt this the fight in which people said Max should have gotten up sooner. Maxes response was, " These people paid 50 bucks to see a fight , not an execution".BoxBuzz wrote:Hey Ric....you think that next round would have held any surprises? I'm thinking Max was probably happy to have it all behind him.

Let's get in some of the boxing historians here. Brockton, your take?pundit wrote:Tunney-Dempsey is the big one, another well-known case is Douglas-Tyson.
