We have White stopping Henry Perlick in the 2nd round Feb. 21, 1930 @ Chicago. I have a day-after newspaper account that records it the other way around, with Perlick getting the KO. Can we verify?
In fact, I also have an eight-paragraph article that goes into some detail. So, it appears the Perlick TKO-2 White is accurate. His corner threw in the towel. It was White's attempt at a comeback, his last start being Dec. 18, 1923 - according to this article. And Battling Nelson, the Dane, wanted to make a comeback, too (but this was before White got KO'd, so Nelson probably thought the better of it, and didn't attempt it).
