record correction

Post by gentlemanjames »

MY RECORD ONCE AGAIN IS INCORRECT. I BEAT BRIAN DUMAS BY UD6. I HAVE A COPY OF THE TAPE TO PROVE IT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHOM IS PULLING STRINGS, BUT IT'S NOT CORRECT AND NEEDS CORRECTED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

Since you are self managed
My suggestion would be to get the Louisiana commission to get in touch with John Shepp and email a copy that verifies your claim.

My references say the entry in your record on the site is correct.
Here are excerpts of two different reports on the card.

ED DUCKWORTH Providence Journal Sports Writer 3.3.2001 00:33
Cumberland's Brian "Drop 'im" Dumas, was a lot more fortunate to emerge with a six-round victory than Chase or Manfredo.
Far ahead on points after five rounds, the 155-pound Dumas walked into a pair of solid left hooks by James Johnson (7-4-2) that twice dropped him in the sixth.
Although he clearly was reeling, Dumas (10-1-3) hung on and survived to the final bell where judges Walter Stone and Clark Sammartino awarded him a 57-55 decision and Steve Schultz's card showed him ahead by 58-55.

Fight News Date: Friday, March 2, 2001
Brian Dumas (155 lbs., 10-1-3, 4 KO's) - WU6 - James Johnson (155 lbs., 7-4-2, 4 KO's)
- One of the fights of the night. Johnson tried to control action with jab, however Dumas' unrelentless attack changed things. Dumas hit Johnson with some huge body shots and by the fourth round Johnson began to show signs of tiring. In the sixth, way behind on the scorecards, Johnson roared out and dropped Dumas twice. It was not enough in the end as Dumas had built up a huge lead over the first five rounds. The final scores were 57-55 twice and 58-55.
