This topic probably comes very often but i would like to give it another go and see what you guys think/
ive tried to conduct a top ten list but i cant there are just too many i cant ranks one over another i have considered many fighter such as, JC Chavez, barrera, morales, zarate, mario martinez, carbajal, humberto gonzalez, chacon, cuevas etc.... there are so many more but who would you guys rate as an all time top ten...
Sorry for those i havent mentioned i no them all but there are just too many greats
Sanchez would be my number one... shouldn't forget though the likes of Zarate, Pintor, Saldivar and the very very great often overlooked Manual Ortiz!!!....
Chavez should be, without a shadow of a doubt, number one on everyones list.
Its not even close people. Sanchez was great, but his accomplishments dont come anywhere near those of Chavez.

Spot on. id have to say the same thing. Chavez is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of... well anything really
Julio Cesar Chavez and Salvador Sanchez, pretty much my top two, Marco Antonio Barrera is gaining momentum, and a few (about 3-4) good wins and I think you can consider Jose Luis Castillo, but not quite yet...
Manuel Ortiz is Mexican/American, but he is one of the best. Miguel Canto is another great who rarely gets any credit, I guess due to his lack of kayo's. Joe Becerra is another great, who would be a lot better known today had he not killed an opponent...he just lost his instinct after that bout, but before that occured Becerra was a beast in the ring. Vicente Saldivar is another and of course Rodolfo Gonzalez. Overall though it is hard to deny that Chavez has credentials that dwarfs almost any fighter of any nationality!
If your judging by skills and ability rather than number of titles won then Sanchez gets my vote, he just didn't get the time to prove how good he was, I'm sure that he would have won one or two more world titles, he had the frame to move up to 135 without much trouble... I think he would outbox Chavez...
Canto is another great... a great technical boxer often overlooked as is Ricardo Lopez...
