Boxer AL COUTURE won the fastest knockout in boxing history by punching out Ralph Walton after only half a second had passed in the fight! (Jeff from Ripley's Believe It or Not

on boxrec it says 10.5 secs

Two questions

1. Could this possibly be a relative of "The Natural" Randy Couture.

2. How in the hell can you knock someone down and have the count begin at 0.5 seconds into the bout????

I've read the wire reports of the kayo, and Couture hit Walton while the latter was putting in his mouthpiece, right after the sound of the gong.

A look at the Social Security Death Index shows that Couture is not that unusual of a name in Maine, which has a large population of French extraction.
