Colin: Apparently you had entered their Jan. 2, 1922 bout (Portland, OR). It was recorded as NC-1, although you had a comment that the World Almanac recorded it as a Tate WDQ-1 Wills. I confirmed from the nearby Seattle Times paper the latter result. So I've changed the comment. (It was for the Colored Heavyweight Title, the paper said.) When I get back to the library next, I'll jot down better notes regarding the controversy that surrounded it. I remember reading that all present thought the bout was a fiasco. I didn't write down detailed notes, as I assumed that bout was already entered at BoxRec, which it was.
