Hello My Name is Hunter Claypatch, I am currently working on a book of the history of the Lightweights pre 1930, Bellow is a list of fighters and all I know about them If anybody could help me I would be very thankful:
Johnny Hannon (won the Lightweight title from Johnny 'Badman' Walker in 1838, beat Walker again in 1840, then lost title To Johnny Broome on Jan. 26,1841.)
Johnny Broome (Won title from Hannon, beat Walker twice and retired as champion.)
Johnny 'Badman Walker (Lost to both Hannon and Broome, Beat three men in 1842 and claimed the vaccent title, and never lost again.)
'Young' Barney Aaron (Won the American Lightweight title in 1857, but many called him world champion, Born:1836, Died:1907.)
Sam Collyer (Born:1842, Died:1904.)
Owney Geogham (Born:1840, Died:1885.)
Abe Hicken (Won world LIghtweight title in 1867, and held it until 1872 when he retired, Born:1847, Died:1910.)
Again this is all the information I know so any other information you can tell me would greatly help me.
