Overall the list is good, I just dont agree with some of the placements.

Ali is at least the 1st or 2nd greatest fighter p4p of all time in my opinion.
Eddie Jofre over him? This is unjustifiable.
Duran is too high, and Fitzsimmons over Leonard is mind boggling.
Hagler over Monzon is head scratching.
Whitaker and Chavez are way too low, no way should Napoles, Arguello, or Fitzsimmons be ranked higher than them. I can even argue them being over,Burley, Hearns, Hagler,Saddler,Wilde,and Moore. But these are at least repectable choices, so I wont.

34. Freddie Miller... How can a guy that has more than 200 wins is not considered a top 50 material? Can any one explain me why? He also fought in 247 straight fights without being stopped and was stopped only once, which was his last bout and defended the feather title 11 times in 3 years.

good work but p4p Langford is greater than Johnson

Both are excellent and competent lists. As regards individual placements, there will always be disagreements of course - both have Dempsey and Marciano too high for my taste, Conn too low, dmt has also Fitzsimmons too high, and elmersalsa punishes Langford for something outside Langford's control (Langford was the world's best fighter in the early 1910s, whether he held a title or not). But these disagreements are unavoidable.

Yep. Plus he had a habit of beating up much bigger men (similar to Greb).

I like your top 5. Ali and Louis I'd have a little bit higher.

I think if Tommy had a great chin then he would be top 20. He could box, had great power, moved successfully up the weight classes, fought everyone there was to fight. If his chin held out against Hagler & Leonard then he would be viewed in a totally different light.

On a top true P4P list -

I think J. Fenech deserves to be on the list -

I'd have E. Holyfield slightly higher (top-15) - In his prime very few would have ever beaten him that came in at his same weight -

I think Khaosai Galaxy definitely belongs on any Top 50 list as well - He is underrated for those who haven't seem him -

I stopped at 36 partly out of laziness, and mostly because I figure #37 thru 50 seem interchangeable so why bother. I added comments for the top ten. Number 10 & 11 are equally great.

1.Muhammed Ali- Arguably beat 5 of the top ten heavyweights of all time. Has the most impressive hit list of any fighter in histroy.
2. Ray Robinson- I could easily be convinced to put him at # 1.
3. Henry Armnstrong- Just a slight notch below #1 and 2.
4. Harry Greb- I usually dont like to rank fighters I have never seen at least on film; but his resume leaves absolutely no doubt how great he was.
5. Sam Langford- See above.
6. Ray Leonard- As close too a perfect fighter as you can get.
7. Willie Pep- Greatest defensive fighter ever.
8. Joe Louis - Greatest title reign ever at any weight.
9. Roberto Duran-Style and popularity get him overrated a tad in my opinoin but he still ranks very highly with me.
10. Pernell Whitaker- Second greatest defensive fighter ever.
11. Julio Cesar Chavez- People seem to forget how very close he came to being considered at the very top of the list.
