Jack Warden, actor, who died today at age 85,supposedly boxed professionally as a welterweight, and was listed as having 14 bouts. Does anybody know about his record?

Try his name in the name search. Who knows. I know he was a tough SOB on screen. I know people say this kind of thing all of the time but just last week I was wondering what he was doing and if indeed he was still alive. A great actor who played 'Jack Warden' really well if you know what I mean. The only time I saw him in a more unorthodox role was in the 'Problem Child' movies where he played a real sleezebag wonderfully. Sadly the other star of that film, John Ritter, passed away aged only 55 in 2003 of a sudden heart failure.
Watch the end of Peter Seller's last movie 'Being There' and Warden reads out a great speech at the business magnate's funeral. It was really poignant then and will be even more so now.
For more info on Jack Warden try typing his name in at the movie database (a wonderfull resource) at http://www.imdb.com.
May he Rest in Peace. :TU:

Fought as Johnny Costello. We show two defeats for him. Supposedly he had thirteen pro fights.

Fine actor, played Jon Voight's trainer in the remake of 'The Champ' and another trainer in Night And The City.
