his last outing(comeback) didnt go too well v richard turba.
why was he away for so long?

I believe he is with Gilmour, but im not 100% sure. It didnt go so well, mike adopted a block punches with my face technique.
It was a terrible comeback fight to take after being out for so long. Turba just bull rushed into him. Mike has a great jab and sound boxing skills but his defence is terrible, I know a guy that spars failry regualr with him, and he says he's told him ten times over to tighten up his defence but it dosent seem to happen.
I think the full reason for such a long lay off was both promotional and motivationaly based. I think he was also due to comeback earlier but injury scuppered the fight.
