Roberto Balado....how good was he?

Post by yiddo14 »

Don't remember much of this guy.
Remember watching a bit of the 92 olympic boxing, but can't recall who I watched(only 10 at the time)
Very aware of his record and what he achieved, and that he was tragically killed in a car crash aged just 23. :(
Just wondering if anyone can give me any insight into how good this guy was?

If he did'nt die so young, would have Wlad and Audley won gold medals at the olympics with Balado around?

Blando was a great talent. He cleaned up in the 1992 Olympics. He would be the favorite in the 1996 games, though a gold medal would be no guarantee. A fight with Vlad would be 50/50. Blando would roll Harrison like a Cuban cigar.
